Oh boy… where do we begin.
Legendary rocker/soul singer/pop artist/everything you can think of PRINCE has made headlines yet again. This particular story is an interesting one, though.
Yahoo.com reports that former Warner Bros. Executive Vice President Jeff Gold was recently contacted by a former colleague that he had FIVE sealed copies of Prince’s never released “Black Album.”
Not one. Not two. FIVE.
At first, Gold thought they were fake, but given the credential of his colleague and upon further review, they are in fact real copies of the never-released vinyl.
The “Black Album”, the vinyl-collectors dream trophy of all vinyls, was recorded and pressed in 1987, but shortly after, Prince himself ordered to have every last piece of evidence from the record destroyed. His reasoning was that the album was “too evil.”
“It’s easily one of the rarest records in the world, if not THE rarest” says Gold.
